The American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery and Research is a foundation dedicated to improving the field of foot, ankle, and leg surgery through education and research. The foundation does research on a variety of important topics in the fields of surgery, including: technique improvements, alterations in practice patterns by evaluating outcomes of surgeons across the country, evaluations of materials used in surgery, and co-morbidity effects on surgery outcomes. Education through fellowships, lectures, and workshops are also an important aspect of what AFLESR does. The foundation strives to ensure that the education and research being provided is at its best and that through our contribution, others will thrive.
